Certification and food safety underpin the quality policy at Minhofumeiro and strict quality control is assumed throughout the entire production process.
The raw materials are selected regionally, as our philosophy and products are based on regionality and tradition. For us, a supplier must comply with good practices and quality principles, hygiene, safety and good work environment.
As for the quality production, it complies with the appropriate EU standards and is ensured through the salubrity and identification mark PT DTR 27 EC.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Always keeping an eye on innovation, Minhofumeiro has integrated research projects in partnership with Portuguese higher education institutions, with the aim of implementing techniques and procedures that add value to the product in terms of its production and, consequently, its consumption.

The commitment to certification has been indispensable to ensure that our products strictly meet the high standards of quality and food safety required by the European Union.
In 2005, Minhofumeiro was the first company in Portugal to obtain the demanding ISO 22.000 Quality Certification Standard by APCER (Portuguese Certification Association).
In 2017, it migrated to the FSSC 22,000 Standard, which is the responsibility of the Foundation of Food Safety Certification, a certification referential for the food business supply sector.
